this verse has been ringing in my head.. and perhaps it is with grief that i hear it? so sad that one so strong in the past, so passionate, has been engulfed into the world, fallen prey to the enemy's trap. yet all the more, i am convinced that we must do what we can, to snatch them from the fire and save them.
fellowship with those on fire for God is important and most importantly, a living relationship with GOD is absolutely VITAL. no one is exempted from temptation, no matter how strong they may have started out.
May i also be constantly reminded of my weakness and the constant need to humble myself before God! and may i never assume someone is too strong to be given a helping hand and support!
"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." - 1 Cor 10:12-13
"Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh." Jude 1:22-23
yeah.. and they just won't go away! thanks for this great reminder

ReplyDeleteThanks too for the timely reminder, Ivy.
ReplyDeleteIntimate fellowship with God is essential if we are to live consecrated lives and to love those who have fallen by the wayside. I shudder at the thought that many hearts will grow cold in the last days. May we continue to know our God in such intimacy our hearts will burn more for Him and the people on His Heart. And to encourage others to do likewise.
