To the Ends of the Earth: God's Window, Bourke's Potholes and Cow Dung hut

on our way to tribal village before reaching kruger national park for our safari we stopped by some really scenic places. Im just so encaptured by the skies and the clouds! i could have a whole album dedicated to just clouds.

I pray that every singaporean will get a chance to go to a country and see the vastness of nature and the skies.. and look a kilometer away and see no buildings.. u then realise, really, how small you are, how small singapore is in the whole wide world.

I love nature. it is one of the ways that i worship God when i gasp at the beauty of creation. to think that human beings are the epitome of creation.. we are actually more beautiful than these! believe it or not!

as part of our safari package.. we got a night's stay at a tribal village. no one actually told us that we would be sleeping on floors made up of cow dung -- the cow dung keeps the snakes away so that's why they are used and they are recoated once a month or so.

When u walk in it, it's hardened like cement, so if u don't think about it you're ok. It wasn't so much the floor than the insects! we couldn't sleep coz the mozzies were buzzing the whole nite and we kept waking up with bites etc.. insect repellents do not work in the village.

Since there were no electricity, we relied fully on kerosene lamps and THANK GOD kimmy brought a torch. It was quite hilarious because we felt so... refugee camp.. to think we paid $700 SGD for the whole package which included this one night at the tribal village. The door was like made of straw and it doens't fully cover the door - it's like a mat, so u can just shove it and it would fall..haha so i was actually wondering why there even was one.

Nonetheless, it truly was an experience to remember and made the trip memorable! plenty of stories to tell on that one.. hahah it's quite hilarious thinking back!!
