Today, I pray for my best friend. That wherever you are in the world now, God is keeping you well.
I pray that you may ever hear His voice, that when you are down, you will know deep down inside of you, that He is just right there with you. I pray that when you are discouraged, that God will surround you with people that will stir courage in you. I pray that in the season that you are in right now, you will see the handprint of God in everything He is orchestrating in your life.
I pray that when you feel you’ve lost your joy, that you may be reminded of the joy that you had in salvation, that God may send His people to cheer you up and remind you of what a blessing you are.
I pray that on days that you feel most insignificant, that God may reveal to you how precious you are to Him and to those around you. On days that you are tempted to compare yourself with another, I pray that you may see how He has uniquely gifted you in ways that makes you the best you that you are – the you that makes you my best friend.
I pray that in whatever trials you are going through, that you may emerge with a greater knowledge of the love of Christ in your life. I pray that you may always have the courage to fight when the going gets tough and when you experience rejection, and that you may always have hope when things get hard. I pray that you will shine like a star in the universe where you are, that in your brokenness before God, that Christ may shine the brightest in you.
I pray that you will always have a tender heart before God, that the hurts and pain in life will not harden your heart. I pray that you will always have a generous heart, that no matter what others may take from you unfairly, that you will know that He is your vindicator and your great reward and rewarder.
I pray that you may be aware of and flee the temptations of the evil one and if you should fall, that the kindness of God may lead you to repentance and back to Him again. I pray that when you think you may have fallen so far away from Him to go back, that you will go back to Him all the same, because that's where He wants you to be and that's where you will find true peace and rest.
Most of all, I pray that you will fall in love in Jesus a bit more today than you did in the beginning. I pray that day by day, you will be more like Him than the day before and that you may find great joy in becoming so.
And when you are wondering where I am, I pray for the assurance of God in your life and a patient hope that we will meet in time, knowing that the love of God in our lives will lead us there. Till then, my best friend, my prayers are with you. May we fulfill God's purposes for our lives wherever we are now and leave no room for regrets.
