My Purpose In Life

This is an old song, which i have not sung in many many years but it came to my mind when i was praying for someone earlier. What a stark and timely reminder of our sole purpose in life as followers of Christ, that we were created to bring glory to Jesus :)

Some of these old hymns i learnt while i was studying in a convent school at a time when i wasn't even Christian, but now, as these old songs come back to mind, how much richer their meaning, how much brighter their praise.

I thank You Lord, for the trials that come my way
In that way I can grow each day, As I let You lead
And I thank You Lord for the patience those trials bring
In that process of growing, I can learn to care
