Treasures from the Past! :)

I can't believe I found these after all these years while trying to search for my old piggy bank!

One is a little haversack i made when i was 13 yo for my Home Economic class. The pattern on it is also the very first cross stitch piece i've ever made! It's dirty by now, but am glad to see it. Check the words on the stitching:

"Trust the Lord with all thine heart and He shall direct thy paths".

Interestingly, i wasn't a Christian yet when i picked out this pattern since i only received Christ when i was 20 yrs old :)

This other one is the only framed cross stitch i kept for myself. I made this in my 2nd or 3rd year in university. I made a few for some good friends but i never had one for myself. Thing is, i never could find it after i got it framed and i thought i'd lost it forever. But yay :) it's back :))

Now back to searching for my old piggy bank. U ask, why the frantic search? coz my first "salary" in all its orginal notes is still there! all of SGD 15 :) When i was helping out at my mum's company during school holidays sticking stamps and sealing envelopes for a whole day or two. Really cheap labor huh :) but it felt felt really satisfying. I never spent that first SGD 15. Just want to find it back again!! :(

  3. Wow! Nice work :) I remember doing those cross-stitches too but would often be so lazy to do the outlines!!!

  4. haha yeah, usually u're so relieved that u're finally done w all the intricacies, but it's actually the outlines that make the pics come to life! i always feel a great sense of satisfaction when the outline is finally finished coz u can see the full proper picture then! :P
