You've Made a Difference (I)
i've been wanting to do this for the longest time.. a blog dedicated to a bunch of friends i've made while in Manila just to thank them for what i;ve learnt from them and what sort of impact they've made on me. M in the midst of working on a mini-copywriting project for my dad so im going to make this as direct as possible
Ronelle: Ms 'Shor' and Congeniality! and of course my 10-months roomie... haha.. How you lived with me i do not know.. we have secrets that we share in our room that others know not of apart from God above..heh. but Ronelle, it is your strength combined with your feminity that has impacted me most. Your genuine fear and love for our God has set its imprint on my heart.. your girly gait reminds of how real you are and what a daughter you are to Him. Your compassion, your desire to do what is pleasing to the Lord shows.. and though you get "sabotaged" by us in class for your direct-ness, there's such a genuine honesty about you that makes us all want to laugh. Your courage in coming here and allowing God to change your heart about Asia and all of us here and assimilating so well amongst us is so encouraging. And just your ability to interact and get along so well with, like, the whole world is mind boggling to me. Your life has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and make others feel welcome (still working on tt ok..) instead of focusing on my comfort/discomfort. i thank GOD for bringing u into my life. I mean, talaga.
Juliet: hahaha the nutty one... witty one.. jovial one.. giving one. If there's one word to describe u juliet.. it is that you are GIVING.. and with wit! You have such an amazing heart of COMPASSION.. and not just a heart but you act on the compassion. though Josh definitely looks more like Jesus (si Jesus! si Jesus!) .. many times i've seen Him inside of you and that not just mind-boggles me and touches me. Your generosity not just in finances but in yourself and your time amazes me.. and you are such a super organiser! Ronelle is fortunate to have you on your road trips. You are one of the most beautiful persons i've known (yes, on the inside, as Kitti would say) but because of your love for people, it glows and shines.. and i keep thinking how blessed your husband would be to have a love like yours! Though people call u 'white bait' simply for the reason of the color of your skin, the true bait is your personality.. your ability to accept flaws to choose to love and to do it in such a witty, cool, funky way is such a gift! I'd like to think Jesus as like that too :) I miss your humour.. but im glad u're online.. blog when u have time! if i can't hear your wit.. i'd love to read it! :)
Ok, this ends Part I as i continue my work.. i will start on Part 2 in time :)

ReplyDeleteI dunno what to say Ivy...I am speechless...for once. I know, who would believe it? But it was very timely as I was feeling discouraged today so thank you for your praise which I am definately unworthy of I assure you, but honoured to have had you share in my madness for a year and look forward to many more years of amusing you! Muwah! I sent the blog to Ronelle on e-mail as you know she doesn't have time to surf the net. She is very busy doing "Life" in South Africa! hee hee!
