Make Disciples? Got Time Meh?

(that's me as an exchange student in PennState Uni.. i was just 20 yo then! :) Nadia is the lady nxt to me on the RHS of pic)

i am here once again to post links to other great blogs! Unashamedly, unabashedly :)

This recent blog by Ps Joey B helps to answer the question that many pp in Singapore would ask: Where do you get the time to make disciples? People like all not very free leh.

Interestingly, I've found that as I prime myself to make discipleship a lifestyle, there are so many opportunities for building connections: giving a lift to a student going to school, bumping into old classmates, going for reunions, chatting w the waitress in the ice cream store. Many pp out there are still unconnected, and you could just be that link. Just like googling online, one link leads you to another, and sometimes you don't even remember how you got to a certain webpage but hey, that's the power of links!!

Come to think of it, I literally came to join EN through a weblink: While i was on a 5 mth student exchange program to Pennsylvania, Nadia, a dear Peruvian friend of mine introduced me to a Christian book store named Morning Star (our old name). So when i came back to SG, i saw the name Morning Star Church (which has no link whatsoever to the Christian bookstore) on a online directory of churches in Singapore and clicked on that link and made my way there.Yes, i was an odd case.. i literally just walked into the church
because it had the same name as the bookstore i went to in the US.

Because Nadia bothered to spend some time with me and introduce me to different places and eventually that bookstore as an exchange student and friend.. i am now here in ENCS, serving in Campus Ministry. Truly, we really don't know how God could possibly use you to make an impact on someone elses' life! :) We just have to make ourselves available as connectors.. God will open the doors for ministry! Not only so, if God can use an
inanimate weblink to link me to a spiritual family, He can surely use a
living, breathing person like you and i to do more
!

Imagine if each of us would pray to reach just 1 or 2 persons a year.. how much the body of Christ would expand! and truth to be told, with the Holy Spirit in us, we could surely reach more than that! In fact, some of us may have more 'connection points' than the others, but EVERY ONE of us can connect at least one person. We've got all that love from Him.. and there's nothing else we can do but to share it with those around!

May God open continue to open our eyes to creative ways to link many more people to a relationship with God and His people! As the EN saying goes.. discipleship is relationship! Gosh, i have so much still to learn...
